Took an impromptu trip with my partner to Chester on Good Friday, and ended up staying near Brook Street. In the evening I headed out for a walk and stumbled upon Chai Station, an veggie Indian restaurant with a very clearly labelled menu, which as a vegan is a real blessing! Upon arrival I was made to feel very welcome by the owner Bobby, who invited me in for a complimentary chai, even though I was only ordering food to take away. As we chatted whilst my food was being prepared, I recognised Gujarati being spoken in the kitchen, and it turned out Bobby had come to Chester from Leicester (my adopted home town) many years ago! The food was sublime: tasty, authentic Gujarati cuisine, and I would not hasten to recommend it to everyone, whether you're a veggie or not!

The absolute best authentic vegetarian Indian you'll ever find in Chester. Shoutout to Bob (I think that's his name), he's super friendly and kind. The food was fantastic and they also have clean toilets in the restaurant. The menu has a lot of selections, and even offers vegan cake. Truly underrated and a hidden gem in Chester. A must visit for vegetarians, vegans, and Indians. (By the way, this restaurant is fully vegetarian.)

I just wanted a light meal having arrived in Chester for the Easter weekend. The food was delicious authentic and healthy. A welcome departure from the greasy, standardised, Anglicized offerings commonly found in British 'Indian' restaurants. This was real home cooking. I shall be back.

Fantastic food from start to finish. The owner and staff were so friendly and very helpful on choosing dishes. Loved all the food and didn’t miss having meat at all. Homemade delicious curry . Highly recommended. Pictures of samosa and poppadoms.

I didn't miss the meat at all (partner did but he's a caveman ) the food was delicious, even more so the next day! The chai tea was recommended by Bobby ( quite a character!) and so glad it was I really loved it! Just bought some chai tea bags to try and replicate. It was a bit empty when we went but that meant we got more attentive service. The dosas were gorgeous, as was the curry. Yum!

Best vegan Indian restaurant. A friendly service from Bobby, the Punjabi Samosas were some of the best I’ve tasted, this is how Indian food should be, the stuffed puri bread was divine. And for the first time ever we had a choice of not one but four cakes for desert, everything is labelled clearly as vegan. We had a perfect evening, thank you and keep up the good work.
